What is a non-surgical hair replacement system?
Non-surgical hair systems are a treatment for those who have suffered hair loss. All bespoke systems can be designed to suit hairstyles, colours and densities.
Non-surgical hair systems are a method we use to achieve a full head of hair without having to undergo any intrusive surgery. Hair systems are attached using medical grade adhesives and/or tapes, depending on your lifestyle.
Here at Simz, we use the highest quality, thin skin membrane with the highest grade of human hair implanted, which are customised to match the client’s natural hair type, colour, and density, giving a natural finish. You can replicate a hair style you had before hair loss, or you can go for a whole new look.
A hair system works by covering the affected area and cutting and styling the new hair with your own hair to create a full head of hair, hair can be styled to a style of your choice.
Individual hair replacement systems typically last 3-4 months but can last up to a year depending on how you maintain your system. How often you come in for maintenance and styling will also make a difference as to how long it will last.
HOW DO OUR NON-SURGICAL HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEMS WORK?
Before fitting a hair system, we remove all your low-density hair from your scalp, if you have any.
We then cleanse your scalp in preparation for fitting.
We place a few layers of bond on the scalp before applying the hair system.
Our hair systems are handmade with 100% human hair, and we use a skin membrane, so it feels and looks as natural as possible.
After fitting and trimming the hair, we cut and style to your desired look.

Do you have male pattern baldness?
Male pattern baldness (MPB) is the most common form of hair loss. Up to 50% of men will experience this at some point between the age of 17 and 70. Normally, MPB starts with a receding hairline, at the crown or on the top of the head.
Do you have Female pattern Baldness?
Female pattern baldness (FPB) can affect over 60% of women at some point in their lifetime. FPB can affect women who are suffering hormone changes, so ladies who may be menopausal, may suffer hair loss.
FPB usually affects the top of the scalp or crown, hair may become thin.
Do you suffer with Alopecia?
There are several types of alopecia. Anyone can suffer with alopecia at any point of their life.
Have you suffered hair loss due to medical treatment?
There are a few medications or treatments that can cause hair loss, this can happen to anyone at any age.

What You Should Know
THE DISADVANTAGES OF A HAIR SYSTEM
It is not your real hair. Hair systems aren’t for everyone, although they look and feel real, they aren’t, some people are put off by this. You may fear people discover you are wearing a system even though they are undetectable.
Shaving your own hair. You will have to shave your thin bio hair if you have any to allow for a perfect fit.
Maintenance. Hair systems need maintaining, they need to be washed regularly and will need to be refitted regularly, we offer a refit service, but you may become confident enough to do this yourself over time. You may need to re-bond the hairline yourself, although you will be taught how to do this, and there are videos online for you to refer to if needed. Maintenance is compulsory for your system to remain undetected. Because of this, hair systems are not for everyone, BUT you do get used to it.
Hair system replacement. Unfortunately, even with the best maintenance, your system will need replacing, the system will suffer wear and tear, they typically last 3-4 months but can last longer with good maintenance. it is advised to order two systems on your first appointment as the first system can get ruined quite quickly while you are getting used to wearing one and having hair again.

FAQ's
Can I live a normal life wearing a hair system?
Yes, you can live your life as normal. You can exercise, shower, swim and sleep as you would normally.
Does the hair system stay on your head all the time?
Yes, our systems do, we use a scalp adhesive as a semi-permanent solution, you will be required to come back every 4-6 weeks for a refit service. When you are more experienced, you may be able to do this yourself, we will show you how to do it.
Some clients like to take off daily and use daily tape, this is usually only on lace systems and only advised if you are used to wearing and maintaining a hair system.
Do you offer an application and re-fit service if I bring my own system?
Yes, we do. we understand that people like to shop around. we also understand that some clients prefer different bases to the Poly skin membrane which we provide, such as lace or combined lace and Poly.
We would request that you sign a disclaimer just to show you purchased your system elsewhere and that we are not liable. Prices may slightly vary dependant on which base you have. This price will also reflect in the refit price.
Do you do all hair types?
Yes, we offer Caucasian, Asian and Afro hair types. Hair can be customised to suit.
What hairstyle can I have?
You can have any style or colour you would like, systems will always be cut and coloured to suit your existing hair. we will establish desired look in the consultation process.
Do I need to use special products?
In the consultation we offer a list of products you will need; we also have a page of helpful links where you may purchase from.
Does the hair system carry a guarantee?
We do guarantee the hair system is of high quality. We cannot guarantee the system longevity as this will depend on how you look after it. Prior to service, we check all systems for signs of defects. We also take pictures throughout your service for your records.
If you supply your own system, you do so at your own risk, we will not be held accountable for any issues other than fitting issues.
